The Crain Confession

Song Titles

And so I stood, waiting at the watchtower.
The crashing waves, I can feel the power.
Night was cold as time stood still,
Wind was howling through the hills.
From here the road was still in sight.
But things were different from this height.

Then came the thud and she appeared...
Ruffled feathers glowing white.
A calming voice, to me a choice:
from that bird there came a voice.

“I should have paid attention to the light. I got mixed up in my thoughts, and now we’re joined in this flight.”
Then she turned to me and smiled.
"Can you take me home?"

“Well, what are we waiting for?
This night is young, and we can be so much more!”
Then she turned and motioned out past the ledge.
“I would like it if we could go, come on down to the winding road.”

I watched her dance out to the night.
I know that soon we’ll reunite, by the stains on my years.
And I'll have so many questions.
Then there's the makeup up my life...
Mostly trash but maybe a few receipts,
And a string of black aged pearls.

So give me back my cigarettes,
And take me back to the quiet road.
Cause now I’m ready to come home.
