The 4th Passenger

Song Titles

In an atmosphere of cold,
And each sat and absorbed their own reflections.
A slow ride through the hills.
This damp smell…
It’s just the smell.

“How intensely cold is the night.” I said,
as I addressed my opposite neighbor.
His eyes turned to me but he uttered no reply…
With his bloodless lips and the dark glowing eyes.

The words I said had died on my lips.
The dreadful horror came over me,
And now how shall I describe the gloom ride of the coach.

A shriek of terror an unintelligible cry from the night.

The warning finger of the signpost,
the plunging horses, and the crushing pain.

I realized that this nightmare was real.
I plunged to the doors…
But nothing could save me from the horrid fate,
I watched as the signpost grew closer,
And the smell became much more distinct.
“Save me” was all I could get out…
And they looked at me as if to ask ‘why?’.
