Alric the Goat

Song Titles

Come now and stand close... and allow me to weave…
A tale so uncanny you’ll never believe.

Summoned by Good who requested his aid…
And he came with blood steaming, still wet upon his blade.
A lifetime-long curse, which Evil did cast.
Now came to a head, these years being the last.

“I vow on this day, eminence upon me bestowed.
Avails me naught… show me where I must go.”
“And from there I vow, we’ll meet dread against steel.
An end to his reign... be it so! I say Evil himself shall fall.”

Across the land he rode throughout the years.
Even now the mighty Alric felt his fate drawling near.

Then one quiet evening as the lights faded dim,
Evil emerged, morals cowering from him.
Together their clash echoed out from the trees.
Up through the mountains, over land, out to the sea.

And the people did weep, for Alric... he carried their fate.
With him was their hope, paralleled with their hate.

The screams from the battle waged all through the night.
Until the eerie silence marked the end of the fight.

Alric’s return should have brought him to fame,
But Evil still did exist, and then to Alric went the blame.
Though his victory complete... he carried the shame.

“While it fell to my blade, this act gave it life...
Evil can’t be destroyed, only forgotten for times.
And so now their screams will stop to call me.”
