Always check out a place before you decide to play there.
Check it out before you invite your favorite band from New York down to play.
West Philly kids say Funrama is a cool place to play a show.
Funrama is a basement in someone’s house -don’t you know!
Disappointment.
Ennui.
Why does sort of thing always happen to me?
A band from New Orleans was there to play too-
They had thought there would be a p.a. to sing through.
So Darren drove home to get his-
So we could all play for the kids there from the scene-
Which we tried to pretend weren’t actually a heater, a TV, 3 spin dryers, and 2 washing machines.
Always check out a place before you play there.
